Taking Quizzes & Exams

Quizzes Links to an external site. can be used to deliver quizzes and exams in Canvas.

• Due Dates & Time Limits - Due dates and time limits show on the quiz details page.
• Being Marked Late - Quizzes/Exams will be marked late if .. you start the quiz after the due date and time and/or you do not complete the entire quiz before the due date and time.
• Timer & Submissions - Timed quizzes must be completed in one attempt. If you open a new window or you close the quiz, the timer does not pause. Your quiz is automatically submitted once the time limit has been reached.

Canvas Exams are "Quizzes"

Keep in mind that Canvas exams will be delivered with the Quizzes tool. If your instructor assigns a midterm, a final, or any exam in Canvas, you will find that exam in Quizzes or within a particular module.
